Your child must be 10 years old (2nd grade) to join the Off the Hook Bassmasters fishing club.
If your child is under 13 yeas old, you must be with them during meetings and events.
There is an annual membership fee to join the club of $120, this covers some required tournament membership fees and club costs such as prizes for club events.

No, you do not need a boat, many of our events are shore or Kayak fishing.
For events that require a boat, your child is welcome to attend the events, and we will find a captain with a boat for them to fish out of.

For some of the club events that will be shore fishing, A fishing rod and lures are all that you need.
If you are going to participate in club tournament, you will need a scale and a way to measure your catch in inches.

Members who will participate in the Illinois Bass Nation youth angler tournaments will require a B.A.S.S. membership, and a fishing Chaos membership.

The club is operated by experienced tournament anglers who volunteer their time and knowledge to help the youth anglers along their path.
Off the Hook Bassmasters consistently win local and state championships and have participated in the Junior Bassmasters National Championships!
